Vamsi is the name of a character. In 2015 Puri Jagannadh cast him in Temper as one of the four younger brothers of Waltair Vasu, the don played by Prakash Raj. The brothers are Ravi, Mani, Sundeep and Vamsi. He was credited in that film as, simply, Vamsi, because the actor’s name and the character’s name were the same word. Vakkantham Vamsi wrote the story Temper was built on, and later published it as an English novel, which is why his photograph turns up under this query more often than the actor’s does. Vamsi Krishna is a different actor again, born ten years earlier, who debuted in Gharshana and played the antagonist in Thadaiyara Thaakka. Wikipedia’s Thammudu cast list runs the two names together into “Temper Vamsi Krishna”, and they are two men. Krishna Vamsi and Vamsy are directors. Vamshi Paidipally is a third.

The biography databases give a fourth answer, Vamsi Reddy, which no outlet and no post of his has ever carried.

Tiger Bhai in Bruce Lee in 2014.

Then Temper, and after Temper the phone rang differently. From 2017 the credits come three and four a year, and they stop being nameless: Basava, Koti, Ramesh, Suri, Rane, Maari, Benny D’Souza, Addagutta Akbar. The parts are still small. They now have names.
