What time is Bigg Boss Telugu on?

Which episode do you mean? There are two answers and they behave differently. Weekend episodes are the ones Nagarjuna hosts, and they have gone out at 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday in every season we can verify. Weekday episodes are the daily house footage, and those have run at either 9:30 pm or 10 pm depending on the season, and in one case depending on the month.

Alongside the television broadcast there’s a round-the-clock stream on JioHotstar, so the slot only really binds you if you’re watching on TV. Star Maa gives you one episode a day, while the stream carries the house itself, whenever you open it.

So what has it actually run at? Every time below is the Star Maa broadcast slot, not the streaming time.

Only three seasons are in there, and the gap is deliberate: these are the slots we can actually verify. For the earlier ones we can’t, and completing the column on the assumption that the pattern held backwards would just be invented data. If we pin those seasons down, they get added.

Why the weekday time keeps moving

Because the slot belongs to the channel, not to the show. Bigg Boss is a tenant. The clearest example came late in Season 9. The weekday episode had been going out at 9:30 pm all season, and from 8 December 2025 it moved to 10 pm. Star Maa was launching a new serial, Podarillu, and put it into the 9:30 pm weekday slot. Bigg Boss shifted to make room, with a fortnight of the season still to run. Weekends stayed at 9 pm.

So treat any single number for “Bigg Boss Telugu timings” as a snapshot of whenever it was written. During a live season, check the channel’s own listings. They beat any article, this one included.

Bigg Boss Telugu weekend show timings

Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm is where the season actually turns. If you only catch two episodes a week, make it these. They’re the ones Nagarjuna fronts, where the week’s nominations get resolved and the eviction is announced. So why has that slot never moved, when the weekday one has? We can’t tell you for certain. Nobody at the channel has explained it. Our guess: the weekday episodes carry the tasks and the arguments, the weekend pair carries the consequences, and consequences are what people make appointments for.

The premiere is its own slot

Planning to catch the first episode? Launch night doesn’t follow the weekly pattern at all. It starts earlier, at 7 pm, which held for Seasons 7, 8 and 9. And a small thing worth knowing if you’re trying to guess when the next season starts: every Bigg Boss Telugu season so far has premiered on a Sunday, all nine of them, from July 2017 to September 2025. Is Bigg Boss live or recorded?

Both. The hour on Star Maa each night is recorded and edited — a full day in the house cut down to what actually matters. The 24/7 stream on JioHotstar is the extended version: it runs a little behind real time, and the makers still switch camera angles and trim what isn’t needed, but most of what happens in the house reaches the stream. Episode watchers get the story. Stream watchers usually see it first.

That’s why “did you see what happened on Bigg Boss today” can mean two different things — the stream had it in the afternoon, the episode packages it at night. The eviction is the exception: the stream doesn’t show it. What does happen is this — the weekend episodes record in front of a live audience, so the eliminated name often leaks on social media once the shoot wraps, hours before the episode airs. Treat those posts as unofficial until you’ve seen it on the show.

Does the JioHotstar live stream have a fixed time?

On television you get one episode a day, on Star Maa. The JioHotstar stream runs continuously through the season, which is where the round-the-clock house feed lives, and it also carries the episodes. That split is why “what time is it on” means less than it used to. On the app, no slot to catch.

One naming note that trips people up when they search: coverage through Season 8 says Disney+ Hotstar, and Season 9 onwards says JioHotstar. Not a straight rename. In February 2025 JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar were brought together into JioHotstar, so the older guides aren’t pointing at a service that still exists under that name.

When Season 10’s schedule is announced

Launch night is the one Season 10 time on record: 7 pm on Sunday 6 September. The weekday and weekend slots get the real times the day Star Maa publishes them, and the Season 10 row goes to the top of the table. Until then we won’t print a guess as a schedule. No countdown either. Is any of the table above a Season 10 promise? No. It is a record of what three finished seasons did, and the channel has committed to none of it again. In past seasons the slot arrived in a promo before it arrived anywhere else — launch night’s carried a plain “Tonight 7 PM” — so the official promo hub is usually where a timing change shows up first.
