Commoner selection

Bigg Boss Telugu Agnipariksha 2

Agnipariksha 2 is confirmed for Bigg Boss Telugu 10. What JioStar’s terms say about the selection rounds, the tentative on-air window, voting and contestants.

Agnipariksha is the audition show that decides which commoners get into the Bigg Boss Telugu house. You send a video in, a run of rounds cuts the field down, and the last stretch gets filmed and put in front of an audience. Season 2 is confirmed, running as part of the Bigg Boss Telugu 10 audition process, and what you’ll find below is what JioStar’s own terms actually say rather than what’s circulating about them.

You’ll see it written as Bigg Boss 10 Agnipariksha too. It gets numbered by the main season it feeds into, so both names point at the same show. The odd site spells it Agnipareeksha.

Where Agnipariksha 2 stands
  • Season 2: confirmed as part of the Bigg Boss Telugu 10 auditions. The programme title is itself marked tentative in the terms.
  • Schedule: JioStar’s official terms list Aug 24 – Sep 5 as the tentative on-air window — subject to change, not a confirmed schedule. No countdown, and no confirmed start date.
  • Voting: an audience vote is confirmed, though nothing about how you’ll cast it, or where, has been published yet.
  • Shortlist: no names announced, so treat any lineup you see as unverified. Nothing published about who’s through any round.
  • Applications: the documented application window closed on 21 June 2026.

Cast your vote in our fan poll

Have your say here. This is an unofficial audience poll run by us, it has no bearing on who JioStar selects, and nothing you do with it reaches the show.

Being straight with you about what it currently holds: Agnipariksha 2 has no confirmed shortlist, so there are no names to put on an Agnipariksha ballot yet. What you get below is our standing Bigg Boss Telugu fan poll. The day JioStar publishes the fifteen, this becomes a selection poll carrying those names and nothing else.

Unofficial fan poll for audience opinion only. Votes here do not count toward the official result. It does not determine the official Agnipariksha selection.

What is Bigg Boss Telugu Agnipariksha?

Bigg Boss Telugu introduced the Agnipariksha pre-show in Season 9 to select commoners. Non-celebrity housemates weren’t new to the show before that. What was new was making the selection a programme in its own right, with rounds you could watch and a vote you could take part in, instead of a selection that happened off screen.

So what do you actually win? A place in the house. You submit a video entry, a panel narrows the field through several rounds, and the later stages are recorded and broadcast. Survive all of it and you walk in alongside the celebrity contestants. That’s the prize, and it’s why the competition draws the attention it does.

How the Season 2 selection works

JioStar’s audition terms set out five levels, each one cutting the field further, and if you sent an entry in June this is the route it takes:

The five Agnipariksha Season 2 selection levels and the shortlist size after each
Level What happens Shortlist after it
1 A panel reviews the video entries 200
2 Video conference round 100
3 Group discussions, held in Hyderabad and elsewhere in Telangana 50
4 Personal interviews, judged by a jury of former housemates 15
5 Tasks played out on air 5 commoner contestants
Funnel chart of the five Agnipariksha 2 selection levels — 200 after video entries, 100 after video calls, 50 after group discussions, 15 after interviews, 5 on air — noting the numbers can change at the organisers' discretion

How fixed are those numbers? Not very. Every count in the terms is followed by wording that lets the company use some other number at its own discretion, and Level 2 can be dropped altogether. If the shortlist that gets announced isn’t 15, the terms already allowed for that, which is worth remembering the next time you see a confident “final 15” headline.

The jury at Level 4 is drawn from former Bigg Boss Telugu housemates, though you won’t know which ones until JioStar says. Recordings from Levels 4 and 5 are compiled into a run of 13 episodes, with roughly nine of those coming out of the interview stage, and the terms mark that episode count as tentative too.

To enter you needed to be 18 or older as of 10 June 2026, an Indian citizen and resident, and fluent in Telugu. The in-person rounds were set for Hyderabad and elsewhere in Telangana.

When does Agnipariksha 2 start?

JioStar’s official terms list Aug 24 – Sep 5 as the tentative on-air window — subject to change, not a confirmed schedule.

Is that a start date? No. The document labels that window tentative and lets the schedule change, and it’s still the only on-air date JioStar has put its name to. So there’s no countdown on this page. Plan around it loosely, and when JioStar announces an actual day you’ll find it at the top of this page with the announcement beside it.

Applying is closed. The documented application window closed on 21 June 2026, and the on-ground auditions were listed for 15 to 20 July, also marked tentative. If entries reopen, that announcement will come from JioStar, so watch them rather than us. Don’t hand your details to any page that isn’t linked from an official JioStar or Star Maa channel.

For the main season, JioStar has said its six Bigg Boss editions roll out across India from September 2026. The Telugu premiere date is a separate question with its own answer, or rather its own lack of one, covered on the Bigg Boss Telugu 10 premiere date page.

How to vote in Bigg Boss Agnipariksha

An audience vote is part of it. The terms say viewers vote for the shortlisted participants, so that much is settled. What you would actually do isn’t.

Where will the vote actually run? JioStar hasn’t published the mechanism yet. The terms say the details will be published on its Bigg Boss Telugu microsite at bbtelugu.jiostar.com or its website, and they leave the door open to any other medium the company picks. The terms do put a deadline on it: those details are due to be published before the programme begins, so you should have something official to read before the first episode. Until then the microsite is the place to watch rather than a confirmed ballot box, and any site already carrying step-by-step instructions isn’t working from anything JioStar has published. You can’t check those steps against anything official.

One thing worth getting straight, because you’ll see it flattened everywhere else: this isn’t a straight public vote. The terms describe the final selection as coming from the voting outcome and the jury’s evaluation, either or both. Misconduct during that final on-air stage can disqualify someone even if they qualified through the voting. So your vote matters, and it isn’t the only thing being weighed.

We’ll publish the official method here, exactly as it’s written, on the day it exists. Nothing before then.

Want something to vote on in the meantime? The fan poll at the top of this page is ours rather than the show’s, and official voting vs fan poll spells out exactly how the two differ.

The main season’s vote is a different vote with a different method. Agnipariksha picks who gets in and the weekly show vote decides who stays, so if it’s the second one you came for, how to vote in Bigg Boss Telugu is your page.

Agnipariksha 2 contestants

Not announced. No shortlist has been published at any level, so there’s no list of 15 and no list of 5 for you to read anywhere. When JioStar publishes names, they go here with their status and the date we last checked each one.

Seen a name doing the rounds already? Treat it the way you’d treat any self-reported result. Names circulate before a shortlist exists, often from applicants posting about their own audition, and someone saying they made a round is one person’s account of their own progress rather than a list. We’re not going to build a contestant table out of that. You’d be right to want names now, and we’d rather give you none than give you the wrong ones. Rumoured names for the main house are a different matter, and each one is traced back to the list it came from on the Bigg Boss Telugu 10 contestants page.

Bigg Boss Agnipariksha voting results

Nothing to report yet. What happens when there is something? We publish the verified official outcome and keep it visibly separate from whatever our own poll shows. You’ll always be able to tell which is which. Those two numbers measure different things, and only one of them decides anything.

Where to watch Agnipariksha 2

Same screen as the main season? Half answered. The terms put the 13-episode programme on what they call the Channel, and they define that as JioStar’s television channels and digital platforms, including but not limited to JioHotstar, as JioStar decides from time to time. So JioHotstar is named in the document. What you don’t get is a particular channel, a slot or a start time.

Season 10 itself runs on Star Maa with streaming on JioHotstar, and Nagarjuna Akkineni is back to host. That’s confirmed for the main season separately. Read the pre-show’s wording for what it is, though: an example, not a commitment. We’ll name the platform properly here once JioStar announces one.

What happened in Agnipariksha Season 1?

Want to know whether any of this actually works? Look at last year. The first Agnipariksha ran ahead of Season 9 in 2025 and did what it was built to do. Six of the fifteen housemates who walked in on launch night came through it, alongside nine celebrities, and a seventh, Divya Nikitha, entered later as a wild card from the same pre-show.

Then it went further than anyone expected. Kalyan Padala, one of those six, won the season. He’s the first champion to come through the Agnipariksha route, and a second commoner, Demon Pavan, finished third in the same finale. One season in, the pre-show had produced a winner. That’s a large part of why you should care about the second one.

If you want that season in full, it’s in the Season 9 timeline, and every one of the 22 who entered, with how far each got, is on the Season 9 contestants page.
