Bigg Boss Telugu 9 contestants: all 22, and how each finished

Twenty-two people lived in the Bigg Boss Telugu 9 house: fifteen walked in on launch night, 7 September 2025, and seven more arrived later as wild cards. Kalyan Padala won it at the finale on 21 December 2025, with Thanuja Puttaswamy runner-up.

How the season went

Launch night split the 15 entrants 9–6, and the two groups started in separate houses: the commoners as owners in the main house, the celebrities as tenants next door. The celebrity side was mostly television and film — Thanuja Puttaswamy, Flora Saini, Sanjjanaa Galrani, Rithu Chowdary and Bharani Shankar from serials and movies, Emmanuel and Suman Setty from comedy, Shrasti Verma from choreography, and folk singer Ramu Rathod. The six commoners came through Agnipariksha, the pre-show that picks non-celebrity contestants — the first run's Bigg Boss Agnipariksha voting results put Kalyan Padala, Demon Pavan, Harita Harish, Sreeja Dammu, Priya Shetty and Maryada Manish in the house, three on the public vote and three on the jury’s call. A commoner won, and two of the five finalists came from the commoner house.

Divya Nikitha was the first wild card, in on day 18, another Agnipariksha face. The other six arrived together on 12 October 2025 in a batch the show called Firestorm: Ramya Moksha, Sreenivasa Sayee, Madhuri Duvvada, Nikhil Nair, Aysha Zeenath, Gaurav Gupta. None of the seven reached the final five. Prabhas Sreenu, Akhil Raj and Mouneesha Chowdary, named as wild cards in pre-entry prediction pieces, never entered.

Kalyan Padala’s background is reported two ways. Most outlets describe an Army background, joined after his studies; one report called him a 23-year-old CRPF constable and itself noted there was no official confirmation. Neither version has been confirmed on the record.

Three exits need more room than a card allows: Demon Pavan’s third place came from taking a cash briefcase rather than a vote, Sanjjanaa Galrani reached fifth after an early eviction and a secret-room return, and Sreeja Dammu was evicted twice.
