Privacy Policy
What we collect, how Google AdSense advertising cookies work here and how to opt out, and how the Crowdsignal poll, Waline comments and video embeds load.
The short version: we collect as little as possible. There is no account to create and no newsletter to join, and we do not sell your personal data. This page explains what does happen when you visit.
What we collect
We use privacy-first, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to see which pages are read and roughly how the site performs. It does not use tracking cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not follow you across other websites. We only ever see aggregate numbers, never anything that identifies you.
We also use Google Analytics 4 for a more detailed picture of the same thing: which pages people land on and how they move around the site. It is loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz rather than Google's own browser script, so most of it runs at the network edge instead of on your device. It may set first-party analytics identifiers (small cookies scoped to this site only) and shares usage data with Google under Google's privacy policy. We see aggregate reports, never your identity.
Third-party embeds
Our fan poll is served by Crowdsignal (Automattic) and loads with the page on the pages that carry it, chiefly the Bigg Boss Telugu voting page. When it loads, Crowdsignal receives your request and may set its own cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy, the same as if you had opened the poll on Crowdsignal directly. Voting in the poll is optional; the embed itself loads either way.
After you vote in the poll, the page opens Google's own screen for adding this site as a preferred source on Google, as a small popup window or in the same tab. Google may ask you to sign in there, and everything on that screen runs under Google's privacy policy. We send Google nothing about you beyond the address of the page you were on, and we store nothing in your browser for it. If you have already added us, Google's screen returns you to the poll results on its own; otherwise your back button brings you back and nothing else changes.
The footer of every page also carries Google's own "Add as preferred source" button. Google's script for it loads from Google's servers shortly after the page has finished loading, draws the button, and handles the click; until you click, it sends Google nothing beyond the ordinary request for that script.
Video embeds, such as official promos from YouTube, do not load automatically. The video player, and every script and cookie that comes with it, runs only after you click to play, and that click is your consent. If you never click, no YouTube scripts or cookies touch your browser.
On our two promo pages only — the promos page and the Agnipariksha promo archive — each promo card shows that video's own thumbnail image, which your browser loads from YouTube's image servers. Up to ten of them can load on each of those pages. We mark them for lazy loading, so a browser usually fetches each one around the time you scroll to it, though browsers decide that for themselves and some fetch earlier. Each request tells Google what any image request tells a server, including your IP address and browser details. We ask the browser to send them without cookies or credentials and without a referrer, so they carry as little as we can arrange. They do not load the video player and they set no cookies from us. To stop them loading at all, any browser setting or content blocker that blocks third-party images will do it, and the page still works: the promo falls back to a plain play button that behaves exactly the same.
Comments
When enabled, comments on our homepage and our Bigg Boss Agnipariksha page, including their Telugu versions, are powered by Waline. Its client loads once the rest of the page has finished loading, or as you scroll near the comments section, whichever comes first. At that point your browser connects to our isolated comment service hosted on Vercel and to Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. If the service is unavailable, the rest of this site and the voting poll continue to work.
If you submit a comment, Waline processes the comment text, your required username, your IP address and limited technical request information needed for moderation, spam prevention and rate limiting. Comment and moderation records are stored in MongoDB Atlas. A submitted comment and its username may become public immediately. We may remove comments that are abusive, contain personal information or otherwise break our rules. Comments are reader opinions, not votes. Please do not put personal information in a comment.
YouTube API Services
The promo pages are built using YouTube API Services. We use them to discover official promo videos on the two official channels, to confirm which channel actually uploaded each one, and to read each video's title and thumbnail. That is metadata about videos, not anything about you, and we do not send YouTube any information about our visitors. Google's own handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy, and the YouTube Terms of Service apply when you play a video here. You can review and control what Google has associated with your account at Google security settings. We are not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
Advertising
Advertising on this site is served through Google AdSense; the AdSense script loads with our pages, and ads appear where Google serves them. Google is a third-party vendor and uses cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other websites, and to measure and report on them. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits here and elsewhere on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of other third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. How Google handles data on partner sites is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Other advertising partners, where used, may also place cookies to serve ads; we have no access to or control over those cookies, and each vendor's own privacy policy governs them.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google requires consent through a certified consent management platform before personalised advertising cookies are set; we use Google's own consent tool for this, and you can change your choice at any time from it. Ads are never disguised as content and are always marked as ads; our editorial pages are not influenced by advertisers.
Cookies
Advertising cookies are set by Google and its partners as described above. Analytics may set first-party identifiers as described earlier. Crowdsignal may set cookies when its poll loads. Waline may use cookies or browser storage needed to operate the comment form after its client loads. YouTube player cookies are triggered only if you choose to play a video. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them, though some third-party features may not.
Your choices and contact
You never need to submit a fan-poll vote or a comment to read the site. Browser settings and content blockers can block third-party requests and let you clear cookies or stored data at any time. Questions about privacy, a request to remove a comment, or another request about your data? Email us via the contact page. See also our terms of use.
Changes
We will update this policy as the site adds features. The date at the top of the page reflects the current version.
