YuppTV is the answer that actually works from the United States. It carries Star Maa’s international feed, and it streamed Season 9 live and on catch-up for viewers in the USA. The app everyone names first, JioHotstar, is the one that won’t help you. It operates in India only, and pointing a US connection at it gets you a geo-block instead of an episode.

That mismatch is why this question keeps getting asked, and why so many of the answers you’ll find have expired. Here’s the picture as it stands.

Why doesn’t Hotstar work in the USA anymore?

Because the American Hotstar has been gone for years. Disney shut it down at the end of November 2021 and folded its catalogue into Hulu and ESPN+. Bigg Boss Telugu didn’t make the trip. Not then, not since. The Indian service merged with JioCinema in February 2025 and became JioHotstar, which is where the show streams today, behind a login and inside one country’s borders. And routing around the geo-block breaks JioHotstar’s terms of use, so the account doing it carries the risk.
