How to watch Bigg Boss Telugu in USA?

YuppTV is the answer that actually works from the United States. It carries Star Maa’s international feed, it streamed Season 9 live and on catch-up for viewers in the USA, and its September 2026 announcement lists the USA among the regions where the Telugu edition streams live again. The app everyone names first, JioHotstar, is the one that won’t help you. Its launch outside India, on 2 September 2026, covered the UK, Canada and Singapore, not the USA, so pointing a US connection at it gets you a geo-block instead of an episode.

That mismatch is why this question keeps getting asked, and why so many of the answers you’ll find have expired. Here’s the picture as it stands.

Why doesn’t Hotstar work in the USA anymore?

Because the American Hotstar has been gone for years. Disney shut it down at the end of November 2021 and folded its catalogue into Hulu and ESPN+. Bigg Boss Telugu didn’t make the trip. Not then, not since. The Indian service merged with JioCinema in February 2025 and became JioHotstar, which is where the show streams in India today, behind a login.

The diaspora versions are where the confusion lives now. Canada, the UK and Singapore kept a Hotstar after 2021, and on 2 September 2026 it became JioHotstar in all three, with Bigg Boss on the slate and the 24×7 live feed in the UK and Canada. So your cousin in Toronto can open an app you can’t. In the United States there is still nothing behind either name. A 2021 guide saying “watch on Hotstar” names an app your store no longer lists, and a newer one saying “use JioHotstar” names a service that won’t load. Neither guide is lying, exactly. Both have expired.

Where can you legally watch Bigg Boss Telugu in the USA?

On YuppTV, through its Star Maa channel. For Season 10, YuppTV’s announcement lists the Telugu edition live in the USA, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand, and its Star Maa feed carries a Bigg Boss 10 Telugu live page. The service works on the usual hardware: smart TVs, Fire TV, phones, tablets and browsers.

Two caveats before you pay for it. It’s a subscription, not a free tier: Star Maa sat inside YuppTV’s paid Telugu packages for Season 9, and the 2026 announcement sends viewers to subscribe. And carriage changes between seasons. Season 9’s list also took in Canada and Australia, and this year’s Telugu list doesn’t, so confirm Star Maa is in the package for your region before paying rather than trusting an older guide.

Know what you’re buying, too. This is the television episode, the same one Star Maa airs. The round-the-clock house feed is a JioHotstar product, and it stays where JioHotstar is. Can’t you just use a VPN with JioHotstar?

That’s what most pages ranking for this question suggest, and many of them are written by the VPN company they end up recommending. Two things get left out. Creating an Indian JioHotstar account needs an Indian mobile number, because sign-in runs on an OTP texted to your phone. No Indian SIM, no account, whatever your VPN promises. And routing around the geo-block breaks JioHotstar’s terms of use, so the account doing it carries the risk.
