Naresh Jabardasth is in the Bigg Boss Telugu 10 house, eleven years after a comedy show gave a boy who had left school in ninth class somewhere to stand. Most people look him up the other way round, as Jabardasth Naresh. He has done about five hundred skits on ETV since Christmas Day 2014 and two to three thousand stage shows on top of them. Bigg Boss had come for him more than once before this and it never came off, and not one of those times was about the fee.

Who is Jabardasth Naresh?

He is a comedian on Jabardasth, the ETV sketch show that Mallemala Entertainments has been making out of Annapurna Studios since 2013, and he leads a team on it. He is also a regular on Sridevi Drama Company, where two episodes a schedule are his by arrangement.

He came up short, poor and taunted for both, and he says the taunting is the reason any of this happened. “I am in this position because of the body shaming,” he told an interviewer in August 2026. “I take it as a blessing.”

That is the date every biography of him carries, and it is the one this page goes with. He has never confirmed it himself, and he has never contradicted it either. No birth date and no year appears in any interview he has given, there is no Wikipedia article or Wikidata entry to carry one, and not one of the outlets that named him for Season 10 printed an age at all.

It fits the timeline he gives himself. He was in ninth class when he walked out of school, he tried for three months, and his first skit went to air on 25 December 2014, when he was fourteen — the right age to have been in ninth class a few months earlier. Wikipedia’s Jabardasth team tables for that same year bill him as Master Naresh, and Master is the prefix Telugu television puts in front of a young performer.

His birthday falls in July, outside the season. A Bigg Boss Telugu season that starts on 6 September runs about 105 days and finishes around the third week of December, so he turns 27 well after the house has closed.

What is Jabardasth Naresh’s real name?

Naresh is his name. Jabardasth is the show, stuck to it the way it has stuck to a dozen other comedians, and he has never used a stage name. The two halves go in either order and mean the same man: Jabardasth Naresh is the form most people type, Naresh Jabardasth is what his own Instagram account is filed under, and neither is more correct than the other.

Potti Naresh, Naughty Naresh and Master Naresh

Potti is the Telugu word for short. It is what boys at school called him, and it is now printed in front of his name in the Season 10 cast lists. He does not hide from it. The taunts were the thing he never took home, because his mother would have been hurt and his father could do nothing about it, so he kept them at school and came home with nothing to say.

Naughty Naresh is the billing on his podcast appearances. Master Naresh is the older one, from Wikipedia’s Jabardasth team tables of 2014, where he shows up as a notable member of the Bullet Bhaskar and Sunami Sudhakar team in the show’s third series. Master is what Telugu television calls a young performer. It is the same man in all four names.

The other men his name gets confused with

Potti Ramesh is somebody else. Chadalavada Ramesh is another Jabardasth comedian who works in Bullet Bhaskar’s team, and at least one biography site has merged the two of them so thoroughly that it prints “his real birth name is Potti Ramesh” on a page about Naresh. They are two different people.

Naresh, the veteran character actor with the Wikipedia article, and Allari Naresh own the name in Telugu film search. Those two are not related to each other either, and neither is connected to this one.

Where is Naresh from?

His native place is a village in Narmetta mandal of Jangaon district in Telangana, about five kilometres from Narmetta and seventy from Warangal. He calls it Hanumanthapuram; the revenue rolls spell it Hanmanthapur. Jangaon was carved out of Warangal district in 2016, which is why some lists still say Warangal. Both are right; the village has not moved.

The family still has two acres there. When he had saved twenty lakh rupees and wanted to sell the land to buy in Hyderabad, his father said no, and he did not push it. He lives and works in Hyderabad now.

He left after ninth class and there is no college.

Studying was never going to happen with what was happening at home, and his mind was on that instead. So he told his father he was going to the industry. Three months later he was in skits.

Naresh’s career before fame, and the scrap shop

His father drove a trolley, the goods vehicle that moves other people’s things. His mother ran a small scrap-paper shop. The shop was the family trade, run by aunts and uncles as well, and it did well at the start.

Then the EMIs went unpaid and the financiers took the vehicle away. The shop closed when the rent followed. Relatives who were in the same position had their own doubts about lending, and stopped coming. People told them not to speak up about anything, because what business did they have speaking up.

That is the part he says was hardest, and the part that changed. “Now if we say something, they have to go quiet.”

Naresh’s comedy career on Jabardasth and Sridevi Drama Company

The entry was an accident. He went to an ETV Dhee Juniors audition to dance to one song, and was told to his face that it would not work out. A production man there took an interest, told him to come on a Jabardasth shooting day, and put him in front of people.

Sunami Sudhakar saw him first and pushed him into Chalaki Chanti’s team. That was the first skit, with Bullet Bhaskar writing for the team, and it went to air on Christmas Day 2014. Chanti left the show soon after and he was idle again, so he did six skits in Tirupathi Prakash’s team, then joined Bhaskar and Sudhakar when the two of them became leaders and stayed five unbroken years, then got a team of his own.

He puts the total at about five hundred skits and two to three thousand stage shows. There are roughly a hundred trophies in his house, and he says visitors look at the awards before they look at him. The outside events, not the television, are what settled him financially, and he credits Bhaskar for routing them his way.

What Naresh earned, skit by skit

He gives the numbers himself, and laughs at the first one.

Four years into all this, the only thing he had bought his mother was a single gold chain worth about a lakh, because his father had pawned the one she had. People who had watched him leave for the industry were asking what exactly he was earning. Mallemala, he says, has never once delayed a payment; the private event organisers are a different matter, and about ten events are still outstanding.

Ninety per cent of his money sits in his father’s account. He keeps a thousand or two on him and an ATM card, and his brother sends the rest at whatever hour he asks.

He will not chase films. He does not go to auditions and he has never asked anyone to recommend him, because if a part went badly the person who recommended him would wear it. Two or three are in the line.

The one he tells as an achievement is Bhola Shankar. Chiranjeevi put his name forward himself, and Naresh only found out when he reached the set and the director Meher Ramesh told him the elder brother had recommended him. He shot for two days and mostly stood there watching. He has never met Pawan Kalyan and would like to, once.

Why Naresh Jabardasth said no to Bigg Boss for years

The offer had come before, more than once, and it kept stopping in the same place.

“Ninety per cent of the reason I held back is that my family gets frightened,” he said in August 2026. They worried he would play too many games, that people would turn on him, and that his mother would have to sit at home and listen to her son being abused. She cannot take it, so he did not go.

One of them was not a refusal at all. For Season 7 he had said yes and almost everything was settled, and then a fixed Australia tour landed in the same window and he had to cancel.

He has confidence in himself, his family does not have it in him, and because they say no he has to stop, every time.

That was four weeks before the house opened. The makers had chased him through the last two seasons as well, and it had not come off either time. This time it did.

Two of the people he has spent a decade on stage with are in there with him. Auto Ram Prasad was in Sudigali Sudheer’s team on Jabardasth from 2013 and carried on into Extra Jabardasth when the spin-off started in October 2014, and Varshini Sounderajan anchors the show he works on. Naresh’s father, mother and the house in Hyderabad

His parents turn up at the shows and he puts his mother first in everything. When he is low, she circles him asking what happened until telling her is easier than not telling her.

The house took years and nearly did not happen. He saved through small chit funds, took a fifteen lakh loan and bought a plot for thirty-six lakh. The registration went through, and four or five days later the country shut down for Covid. Interest kept climbing and he came close to selling. Bullet Bhaskar lent him money, and it took two years to clear.

Then a builder from Hyper Aadi’s village put up three buildings in the same lane. Naresh sent his brother to ask the price first, so nobody would quote a celebrity a celebrity’s rate, then registered the plot in the builder’s name, paid part of the amount and took a loan for the rest, and came out of it with a house. “Everyone says Naresh built himself a house. Nobody knows what it took.”

He has one younger brother, and the brother has spent years keeping that quiet. His college friends do not know. His workmates do not know. Only the boys they played cricket with at home and their old school friends know, and that is how he wants it, because he does not want to be a story and he does not want anyone bothering his brother because of him. His name is not on this page for the same reason.

The brother is the first person told when anything goes wrong, and the one who transfers money at two in the morning. When Naresh paid a consultancy to send him abroad and the consultancy turned out to be fake, the money went and the police recovered about a fifth of it. The brother felt so guilty afterwards that he would not even ask for a shirt, and Naresh says his brother’s guilt hurt him more than his own did. It is the one decision he says he took blindly, and the two of them came out of it agreeing never to take anyone on trust again.

Is Naresh Jabardasth married? His wife, and the wedding that wasn’t

He is not married. There is no wife.

The confusion is television. Sridevi Drama Company staged a bride-viewing for him inside a skit in October 2025, complete with a girl proposing on stage and his on-screen father in tears, and Telugu outlets ran it as though a marriage had been arranged. It was a comedy segment.

He says he wants to marry, mostly because his mother wants him to, and that whatever she asks he does. Asked what he is looking for, he answered plainly: height does not matter, colour does not matter, he is not Mahesh Babu and is in no position to ask, and a tenth class would be useful only so she can teach the children their letters at home. What he does need is someone who understands that when he disappears for two or three days it is work, and not a slight. He has said he was scared of marriage earlier because he had not settled anything. He has now.

Interesting facts about Naresh Jabardasth

• He says he can count the people he actually telephones on his fingers, and makes it eight: Faima, Hyper Aadi, Bullet Bhaskar, Punch Prasad, Babu, Jittu and Sandeep among them. Everyone else in the industry, he keeps at a distance.
• His savings plan is gold, not the bank. An eleven-month scheme every year, a coin whenever extra money turns up, and when the coins add up, land. The idea came from Bullet Bhaskar.
• On a podcast dare he rang Hyper Aadi and asked for four thousand rupees with no explanation. It arrived while the episode was still recording.
• The team once told him he had been dropped from the show and kept the joke running for three or four hours until he cried. He says five minutes would never have done it.
• Some of the beatings in the skits are real. A student sketch on Sridevi Drama Company left welts on him for three or four days.
• Stones have been thrown at the stage three or four times at village events, by men who had been drinking. Nobody was hurt.
• He has travelled with Rashmi Gautam for ten years and been on Suma’s Cash, Genes and Suma Adda ten or twelve times between them.
• At home he wakes at eleven, has tea and salt biscuits, eats at three and spends ninety per cent of the day on his bed.
• He still gets frightened climbing on to the Jabardasth stage, and thinks that is the right way round. Fear keeps you careful, and the people who lose it start doing whatever they like.
• The plan after television is a hotel, run with his brother, who studied hotel management. It happens only if his brother does not go abroad, and he puts it a couple of years out.
